Colors for Cutts
Cutthroat I have found like to hit on lures that are bright green or bright red. I usually catch rainbows or cutbows from my favorite spot, but when I used these colors all that I caught were pure cutthroats that were full of fight that love to get airborn durring the fight.

Good Way to Catch Brown Trout
The two most effective ways that i have caught brown trout is using Rapala and Spinners. For rapala it seems like it doesnt matter, i have caught brown trout on every color. With spinner the color that slaughters them is bronze! Blue Fox is the best bronze spinner that I have used for catching brown trout. For in rivers i always found it best when targeting browns is to cast into fast moving water where the lure is going to go right into a slow deep whole. This is where the browns are, they sit there waiting for their food to be pushed at them by the river.
Tips for Catching Ling/Burbot
Burbot or ling are active at night. So that is the time that you should try to catch them. Fish right off of the bottom because that is where they scrounge the lakebed for eggs, minnows, ect. Check your lines often at night because they will run with your line and go into holes and over and around branch that are sunk to the bottom. Then you will most likely never retrieve the fish and have to break your line.
